Microarrays

ABC Genomics provides better arrays at significantly lower cost appropriate for the Indian market. Currently, most scientists spend more than Rs 30,000 per microarray and may have to wait for months to receive their customized microarrays and associated results. Often the arrays require a start-up cost that runs into lakhs of rupees.  The microarray offered by ABC Genomics is a state-of-the-art microarray commercialized by MYcroarray, USA (Figure 1). Using a patented in situ synthesis technology, it is possible to synthesize individual customized array for various genomes for each customer without an initial investment in synthesizing oligonuleotides. At present, a density of 80,000 probes per array is offered currently with the possibility of 1 million probes per array in the future. The length of probes can be as long as 70-mer and may vary on the same microarray. 

ABC Genomics provides two types of microarray related services: i) Custom microarray fabrication (Synthesis of high-density oligonucleotide arrays for any sequenced organism), and ii) complete microarray hybridization service. These services will be provided on the chip that is by MYcroarray LLC, USA. Some of the components of the complete services are listed below.
