Until now, high throughput assays using real time PCR were too costly to use in the large-scale experiments. This problem is solved by combining the parallelism of a microarray with the quantification, sensitivity, dynamic range and specificity of qPCR to create a new high throughput platform for transcriptome analysis and many other applications where target and sample multiplexing is essential.  We provide three types of services using different real time PCR platforms.

1. Pathway-Specific RT-PCR Array Service

We provide qRT-PCR expression service using the Applied Biosystem Prism 7900HT Sequence Detection System. This system provides precise quantitative nucleic acid assays, a 384-well capacity, and robotic loading. Either previously validated primer sets or primers specified by our customers can be used. We currently provide pathway specific expression profiling services on Biotrove’s OpenArray™ technology and on SA Biosciences’ RT² Profiler™ PCR array technology.

OpenArray® Pathways are ready-to-use gene panels containing pre-validated real-time qPCR assays. The plates have over 600 assays each and are compatible with multiple sample types. Panels are currently available with human or mouse genes. The OpenArray® Real-Time qPCR System enables nearly three thousand real-time qPCR assays to be run on a single OpenArray plate. Plates are cycled and imaged using the OpenArray NT Cycler. Researchers can test one to 48 different samples against a wide array of assays. The system enables flexibility in experimental design in many research areas: Quantitative expression analysis, Pathogen detection, Methylation studies, Pathway analysis, Infectious disease studies, Forensics, Genetic identification. 2. RT² Profiler PCR Arrays

RT² Profiler PCR Arrays from SABiosciences, analyze expression of a panel of genes associated with any one of over 100 biological pathways or specific disease states. The RT² qPCR primer Assays are experimentally tested and validated qRT-PCR primer sets for every human, mouse and rat gene. These qPCR primer assays are ready-to-use for gene-by-gene expression analysis, microarray data validation, biomarker discovery and siRNA knock-down verification. RT² qPCR products provide the accurate, reliable, and convenient SYBR Green analysis needed by today's research. 3. Custom RT-PCR Arrays

In addition to pathway specific qRT-PCR arrays, we can design custom PCR arrays containing any set of human, mouse, rat, or rhesus macaque genes. Whether researcher’s biomarkers come from a proprietary collection, literature research, or DNA microarray analysis, our expertise in real-time PCR detection can provide quality, flexibility, and consistency in interested biomarker validation experiments. Thus a researcher can build user defined custom PCR arrays for biomarker discovery and validation. Just provide us with a list of genes (choice of any combination of genes from the Human, Mouse, and Rat genomes) and choose a plate layout for this product and leave the rest to us.
