Diagnostics for Human Health
With funding from the Department of Biotechnology and BIRAC, Govt of India we are engaged in developing affordable devices and genetic assays for a number of diseases relevant to human health. These include tuberculosis, malaria, dengue, waterborne pathogens, and E. coli NDM-1. After validation, these tests will be available for deployment in India and globally. Diagnostics for Animal Health and Agriculture
We are also engaged in developing simple to use diagnostic assays for animal health, soil nematodes, and selected plant pathogens relevant to Indian agricultural crops. These assays use isothermal amplification technique and devices are connected to a database for integrated data analysis. For further information, please click the following link.
Training Opportunities for Next Generation of Scientists and Engineers
A limited number of internships are available in our laboratory located at Biotechnology Park, Lucknow. For details, please contact Dr. Somesh Mehra using the following link.
Our main goal is to develop and commercialize diagnostic devices based on DNA markers. We use a combination of approaches and technologies that we have developed for use in our devices. Learn more about our research and products below.
